Asset Building for Low-Income Jobseekers: Practice and Policy

These slides are from our 2016 national conference, A Nation That Works: What's It Going to Take? Asset development and financial capability services are pivotal to helping low-income jobseekers gain solid footing for long-term financial stability. At the same time, while many successful asset building strategies exist, there's still work to be done on the policy front to expand access to the tools people need to build financially secure futures and close the racial wealth gap. In this session, hear from experts about asset building tools and resources for programs serving low-income individuals as well as state-level policy advocacy strategies to advance the financial well-being of those you serve.
